“You never know how much a community can help out until one of their own needs it.”
Matthew Chayet, a Bloomfield Hills sophomore, has overcome incredible obstacles in his young life, while surrounded by amazing love all around him.
Recently, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan approached the Chayet family, and suddenly they found themselves on the receiving end of this remarkable organization. Now, after receiving an unspecified wish, Matthew, along with his parents Fawn and Adam and sister Abby, are giving back – and they are giving back in a big way.
On Wednesday, October 5th, at Core Cycle, 6716 Orchard Lake Road, West Bloomfield, Michigan, they will host a fundraising event for Make-A-Wish that will include exercise classes, shopping from local vendors (Blue Lagoon, Ella Designs, Event Bliss, Passion4 Fashion, Pawn Chic Shopping, and Ehrlooms Fine Jewelry) and amazing food from area restaurants. A portion of all sales will go towards Make-A-Wish.
Classes will be held throughout the day as well.
Since they put this event together, the outpouring of support from the community has been beyond incredible.
What’s so amazing is that this very special family has turned their personal challenges into an opportunity to make a difference for the common good while serving as an asset to the community.
As they say, “Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations.”
What can we do?
To keep the synergy trend flowing, you can show your loving support by making a donation directly to Make-A-Wish at michiganwish.org or email Fawn directly at [email protected] to reserve your spot.
